Celebrate the Holiday Season with
The Oregon Chorales Performances of Vivaldis Gloria
Close your eyes and let us take you back to the 18th century featuring a choral piece from one of the most popular Venetian composers, says Oregon Chorale Director Bernd R. Kuehn.
Antonio Vivaldi (1678 1741) composed his Gloria in Excelsis Deo in 1713 and it has enjoyed well-founded popularity at many sacred occasions including Christmas. The Chorales performance will be accompanied by an orchestra, and the concert will also be rounded out with performances of various holiday favorites.

The Oregon Chorale, now in its 24th season, is a non-profit adult symphonic choir consisting of 50 talented and dedicated residents of Northwestern Oregon. The Chorale, directed by Bernd R. Kuehn, performs three concerts per year, makes various special appearances, and has conducted five international tours. Concerts showcase a variety of styles from Classical to Baroque, Renaissance to Contemporary. Less formal presentations include world folk music, spirituals, dinner theater and staged shows. Chorale members perform purely for their love of music and are from various professions, from schoolteachers to software engineers to novelists to doctors.
